Financing of the system

To finance the collection and processing system producers and importers pay a waste management fee for every new tyre that is sold on the Dutch market sold. The Vereniging Band en Milieu has no membership fees or entrance fees.

The members of the Vereniging Band en Milieu have the following responsibilities:

• Pay the waste management fee for tyre they bring into the Dutch market 
• Send a monthly report to RecyBEM 
• Cooperate with administrative controls
